Mellow Mid-week

hello!:)
ive been dying to blog for days, and ive finally found the time during school to do so! Thursdays are amazing because I have a 4 period break - 2 periods for chinese (which i dont take) and another 2 for resting yay:))

what has been interesting in the past two days is that 2 teachers, whose names should not be revealed here, has officially freaked me out because they know me and my name and my class and the friends that i hang out with. One of them Mr X goes through me to tell a friend that her skirt is too short and needs to be lengthened, and Mr Y remembers me as being from the class which many girls failed inclined pull-ups. :( The worst thing is that they called me 2 days ago while in the canteen and after I went over to their to talk to them, many many people actually noticed and asked me what happened with the first sentence being "what happened? your skirt is not too short what!" ah well.

yesterday we had Arts Day A.I.R 2007 (arts in reality)- no lessons! We had an ice cream man and stores selling cute cupcakes. The only events (I feel)which drove the point home was the female belly dancer who induced many delirious and smitten people (guys), and the fireeater who performed amazing stunts and our course on forum theatre and the production of films like the most recent cages. Other than that, vera and I bought ice cream and visited the band at the parade square and the SAF band at the concourse. after that our class went to Subway and we we had to run back in the rain after that! - though anthea, annabelle xinlin and I flocked back in a cab! then we watched thirteen days as part of the history dept's programme for A.I.R. the lecture theatre was super cold and vera annabelle and I were frozen to a popsicle by the end of it! after that i went for band prac and finally left at 7 plus with Mieo Teng. We had a really nice chat on the bus. yay!:)

i wonder if a lack of being able to find apt titles for blog posts mean something - the content's just rubbish? Similarly, without a thesis statement, what do you expect to build your essay upon? sighh. yes, im getting bored of my blog. oh no! haha i havent even reached a 100 posts yet.
anyway this morning I was caught in the heavy heavy heavy rain from bus stop to school! whoever said Vj's uniform was waterproof! alex says its undoubtably fireproof though. haha, my shoes were totally totally soaked once i stepped down the bus! i think i enjoyed the whole rainy experience though. i realise that i dont really like conventional stuff. like doing the same thing everyday just bores me upside down inside out. we all need something different everyday dont we! so after my shoes got soaked, i just went all out to have fun and submerged them in more puddles of water. haha i think everyone around me and maybe alex (most probably) thought i was mad or something. oh well.

oh my lit trip better have at least 30 people going! if not ill be so super disappointed. wonder how the numbers dropped from 60 plus to 20!

and oh my the soccer guys ALL shaved bald!... there goes _______ and________. oh no!:))
today after school anthea jac hwee and I chilled out at the treehouse for an hour plus. I took off my shoes and socks to air them and i guess i looked unglam and all with people walking past our house to get to the other one. I think im getting too used to not caring what others think, but i think today was the limit. no more exposure of feet and bad sitting postures on top of the treehouse ay! well, at another juncture of today, someone randomly said to me today that me feeling unglam and all didnt matter at all and never should since 'something'really monumental has taken place. sorry for being so vague here, haha I really dont wish to clarify!

these few days have been pretty tiring. ive either been in school, or out chilling or at home sleeping.-_- my work's been piling its getting quite worrisome. the only good thing is that - ive fallen in love with my lit set text Great Expectations!:) thats really great because its so important to love what you're going to have to write tons on. so i've finished reading it and im going through it the second time. yippee:) UK trip has been on my mind too, and im going to try do a research on the places im going to visit, as well as read King Lear before i watch it being performed there!

yesterday (friday) was good, we had our first PW lesson! it was super slack though because it was just giving off ideas, and the guys were being so lame and absolutely hilarious. i went mad though, i was starting to imagine funny things and hwee and vera were just intrigued by my very own sense of humour. haha during GP, vera hwee annabelle and I were sharing one table, and after we got started on our essays, i suddenly caught hwee's eye and both of us started laughing. vera and annabelle stared at me like as if i wasnt their friend (HAHA). sighh. there's this unanimous agreement among all my friends around me that im totally random and more crazy (than I know I am), but i dont get it! I laugh at funny things ok!=D jiawei said i laugh at anything and everything, but its really funny, why dont you guys laugh too?!

haha anyway, after school i headed to the comp lab with jason to finish up our essays and print. i guess double extension's still not enough! after that I left first to join daniel, sya, andre, mark and jinghan to go to parkway to eat.:) we ate at jack's place and this meal we had was absolutely good. we shared quite alot of stuff- like my only reserves about the trip, jinghan having to cook dinner every night, and andre's deepest darkest fear. heh! we left at 5 and after i reached home i totally conked out till saturday morn, where i had to rush (again) to school for band prac:)

after that i went home to rest. sorry vera and hwee for not joining you in town, and not joining andre and all at musicfest auditions and dinner :)) haha im REALLY falling sick this time. my throat's been killing me and the impending fever restricts me. I cant afford to fall really ill! so i slept more till dinner time. kajie and jensen came back for dinner too and it was so super fun. we were sharing about all the funny stuff (including matthew's and my conversation about pastries and banisters during band, haha) and luyi's classmate edmund twohill and kajie's two macho colleagues who chionged down the building during the earthquake tremors. we're having a family outing next sunday! (when everyone is finally free)! percussion is supposed to have an outing to either the safari or zoo one of this days after school too! yay:) kajie is also super super nice because she offered to pay for my UK trip:)) yay hugs sis! and so mummy can give me more money for food and shopping! eerhem, miscellaneous stuff i mean!

life has been good so far, thank you friends for showering me with concern and calls and random messages that really make my dayy:)) I still cant get over the fact on how blessed we are all so so so blessed by Him.
Im going to arrange meet-ups with jill, becky and weiting next week. busy busy busy. cant wait.

omgosh i think my brain's wonky.
i never missed sc at all before JAE (sorry!)
but after getting back results and revisiting the staff room and all,
and after settling here in jc, and when things start to get smooth sailing (or sometimes not)
you start reminisceing all over again!

i received a msg from sarah this morning, and lets just put it that way, it makes you want to live life as it was a few months ago, just for one day?
ill put on the bolero on my sc u, revisit the spiral steps, the amphitheatre, get into the groove of the day, wash test tubes, leap over the bushes (oh my, yes i did that) with shan and ll and dash to the meepok man, chase people back to class, hit ally (!!), poke becky, hug jeann:), pinch shaan, and chillout in the band room till late once more.

oh my, yesterday we had a sc-girl gathering in the canteen:)) it was greaat:) cam, annthea, jing xuan, wan ping, chiawen, kelly, denise, zara =DD and tomorrow we are still gonna wear our sc uniform (last day!) and take loads of pictures! ehh!:)oh yes and i caught some of my buddies in their jc uniforms! esp those in RJ, they look SOOO good and chio and everything nice:))

oh myy scgs! the wonderful kim-gek school! haha sorry for this propaganda, lol. to all those who have daughters next time, send them to sc!:))))))))i think ill purposely (if only i could) give birth to daughters so that i could do that next time:))) heh! ok i think im going madd.

omgosh, i recently had a post on all the people i missed, now im going to talk about all the dates i miss :(

i miss the band exco dates eunice, mich, chara, miss soh and mr jeow and I had, they were full of details and programmes, but also full of prayers, laughters and jokes.

i miss walking down the street of orchard with our proud sc blue uniform (yes, its that sleeveless one) with handbags! (we try to stuff our books in), with becky, or chara, or chia wen, or jean, or camille, or any other sc girl and feeling the adrenaline of watching people's heads turn. (!!)

i miss chilling out with diana and jocelyn at serene centre after MEP and totally going crazee.

my last post ended with "history and econs essay!",
here, i shall present the consequences of that.

yesterday, after blogging, i decided to be a terribly good girl and finish both!! history essay went on for 9 pages, i wonder why but i just had SO much to say i didnt really know to stop. after that i decided to do econs (which is quite an achievement, really) till 1.30am! so of course, as everyone can guess, i overslept this morning! I wanted to wake up at 6 to have enough time to bathe and don the vj uniform, but alas, i woke up 1 hour and 10 minutes late! hence i only got up at 7.10. surprisingly, i wasnt worried about being late for school AT ALL. hmmm. in fact, i was more disturbed because i would miss my breakfast date with chiawen!. heh. anyway mum sent me to school and i arrived at 7.55am. the rain saved me, because when it rains, latecoming is taken under the consideration of the inconvenience of the rain. yeaps, so i was real lucky!

even though i could have waited till everyone came out of the hall, i decided to just join the rest in there listening to announcements. so i joined my class at the back by entering the side panels (although its still in clear view of the entire school). after awhile, sidney came late too! he temporarily sat behind me first while waiting for abc to be over. and he said i look better in sc uniform!!-_- today's response was pretty weird, almost all the girls said i look better in vj uniform + jason who says he hates the sc uniform ( i have no idea why) but almost all the guys say the opposite. strange. personally, i prefer the sc uniform too. i dont know why, but i just very special when im wearing it. i guess it goes the same for almost the rest of the vj sc girls -camille anthea jingxuan wanping were still wearing the sc uniform today!:)

anyway its confirmed im going for lit trip! im so so so happy:)) we are going to watch King Lear being performed there too! and Miss Chia says we might actually get some free nights in London, and we can go off on our own!:)))))))))

Percussion had sectionals with Mr Tan from 8 to 10am :) I dont know why but Xinhui and I were pretty nervous throughout - under-rehearsed!! :( but still everyone made it really fun, just that everyone kept laughing at me because they said I was being really random when responding and all! From 10 to 12 we had more sectionals outside the hall and at 12 we went for lunch at Thaipan! finally I get to eat at Thaipan! haha we each had a plate of fried rice and shared Beatrice's all time fave "buttersquid!!" after that we had MORE sectionals till 3 and by then we were seriously (or at least I) tired and drained. however after that, eric jessica and I still had to chiong down to bedok to buy school uniform! we had an eventful time there trying and all. there was a fellow student there who was getting a lecture from her father. He was pretty mean because he claimed he was giving her face but was still scolding her many nasty things in front of everyone. -_- eric jessica and I had to pretend we weren't listening and as if we didnt care, but I was pretty shocked. ok anyway the lady who came in before her looked so familiar i just smiled at her but i really could not remember who she was! at first i thought she was the bookshop aunty and so i asked eric and he was like, "huh!!... she's our math lecturer!" ahha. OOPS. anyway, after that jess and I had ice cream before going home while eric went home first then headed back to school to stayover... because, the next day we had band again!

band from 8 to 3!during lunch we went to eat at pastamania:)) after band i had to rush home to get the fried rice and some pastry my mum made then she sent me down to kensington park. class bbq was funn!:) went to visit jason's house and then started the bbq downstairs. grace came over because she was walking her dogg! man i really hope she comes to vj next year! we had a nice chat with mr khoo and anthea and I went mad playing black sheep, white sheep. and augustine kind of crashed our bbq which makes it kinda worse for me cuz now he knows how blur i can get sometimes. hmmmph. I left at 11 plus when mum came and we gave Mr Khoo a lift back to near home. the guys had the sleepover and apparently they all went to church together this morning. haha so sweet eh!

was in town for music class and after that sheila shermaine and I went to collect our improvisatory books. met wanping and all her church friends too:)well, tomorrow is going to be the first day I don my VJ uniform, cant wait!=D but im going to miss my beautiful SC uniform too! :(

ok, so its confirmed.- Vera is not going for UK trip anymore! neither are any of the girls!:((

but whatever it is, ill still go to UK and France! just that i cant really cam whore, and laugh crazily. which is a waste la, but oh well. im so worried that there might not be enough people to make the lit trip bunch. My mum said that if that happens, then we can go melbourne together. lol. downsize, but thats not too bad!
I was telling the percussionists ytd and Tim said many people always get psychological disorders after going to Paris because their expectations of Paris is so super sky-high that when they realise life there isnt as what they expected, they get really shocked and disappointed. haha.

haha, oh no I suddenly miss SC band loads. partly because I couldnt go back yesterday.
anyway, Im not going for band's Urban Hike tomorrow. because im, not feeling well. -_-

anyway, today I woke up late! 7.30am. but i managed to get down to school for training at 7.55:) cool!=D haha we had sectionals till 10, then I reluctantly had to leave for history lecture which lasted all the way to 11.30, then headed back for more "sectionals". after that we went out for section lunch at macs. it was greaaattt becasue we had ultra section bonding! for like 2 hours. I bet it was timothy's best monday everr. HAHA. we talked about everything under the sun, and im glad that i can trust that nothing will be exposed after today:) I had so much fun laughing at Sidney and tim's falsified scandals. Seriously, you people are so free! and I love your puns Tim! haha matthew thought I was crazy, laughing at the jokes aimed at me:)

after that I headed down to town to cut my hair- I wanted to try out something drastic like cut bangs or something, but i decided not to, maybe during the June holidays I will! :D after that I was having this terrible headache so I headed home, was supposed to go back to SC to visit the band-its having camp. sorry for pang-seing you again weiting. 3rd time right..:(((

now im here, and finally, one last thing to add. It hurts knowing much more about friends you thought differently about. Im never ever going to allow myself to hear all these things again. Even how they tell me not to let the advice affect me, its so obviously going to hinder my perceptions of that person. Ill just let myself figure out myself -to give the person a new chance at who he/she wants to be, as well as not be sabotaged into having a poor friendship by pre-conceived judgements. Ill fall the hard way if i have to.

today's orientation was different from ytd, because today we were in our CTS, instead of OGS. It was fun in a different way.:)

after the whole thing, phoebe, jinghan, darryl jiawei and I headed to the hawker centre at Parkway to eat the Hainanese Chicken rice!:) we shared a whole plate of chicken, (1 and a half whole chicken!!!) and rice plus extras for the guys. haha it was good because both jiawei and darryl were from Cat high band which swept me away two years ago at SYF when they played Jericho, so we were having a fun fun talk about band and all. Darryl reminded me of that very special sense of fulfillment we got at the end of the day. :)

its amazing how friends are made, I love friends. They are so totally blessings from GOD.:)

omgosh, Praise the Lord for all the good things he has done, Im staying in VJ!:)))) chiawen too!:)) and all of my class, except anthea FOR NOW. dont worry anthea, im sure we will see you by next week:)) I was really overjoyed when i knew it on monday, because besides being able to stay, ill be abt to go for UK/Paris Lit trip in June and be OGL today and tmr!!:)) this morning was great, because I was so happy coming into VJ:) thanks Wayne, Camille and Darren for giving me a warm welcome once again:) hugs*

anyway, today's Orientation 2 was NOTHING compared to Orientation 1, but it was super good for the planners were given only 1 week to plan, and the pessimism surrounding it. The mass dance was much better than O1 though, since now I finally can remember the steps!:) The general feeling that i get from 2nd intakers is that they are pretty freaked out by VJ's enthu-ness. One girl kept asking me "omgosh, why on earth do you all keep dancing and cheering!! We had mass dance and cheers in **JC, but it was nothing like this la!" I guess the VJC spirit can be really infectious at times, especially during mass dances. I know today during mass dance, Phoebe, Darryl, Wei an and I just went MAD. we were dancing so hyper-ly and we were exaggerating almost every move. I know while I danced La Bamba next to camille, I nearly sprained my ankle and i collapsed to the ground twice. gosh.

Oh yes Darryl is seriously one of the best Friendship Dance partners you can have!! he is SO funny, and when we did the Chee Cheong Fun thing, he had ALOT of fun too swinging me in and out:)) He is also my first partner that I could dance so comfortably with and having so much fun, because he is so so funny! He actually tried the "passionate eye contact" thing but it kinda failed because i was laughing so badly. heh! yay so happy because tomorrow we have mass dance again! yay!:)

Today's band prac was good! It was only the J1 batch, since J2s have common tests next week. IT was also Victorian Day, however the only difference I could make out from today and normal saturdays was the blasting music outside the igloo! yay there was free prata too, from a hired Prata trio. Huiling, Yi Xuan, xinhui beatrice jess and I ate loads of prata- Cheese, plain egg what have you.:)) however during sectionals, we decided to play games, for sectional bonding (not slack-tionals ok!) which turned out to be a badd idea. because the girls and senior jonathan kept saboing me and matthew. he had to act out the korean thing running towards me and shouting something (which i do not wish to mention) through the canteen. gosh, the worst thing is that, he is so not pai seh of ANYTHING he willingly did it. i was like begging him not to do! and people like my section mates and kah siong and friends had to be witnesses. gosh. OGL training was also good because of our nice groupings and having so many band people being OGLs too! i made new friends:) daniel, jiawei and xiaojia:):) anyway, i gotta go, tomorrow is going to be a super long day ago, I really hope I have time to at least touch a bit of the 1200 word history essay. Poof.
