i just got back from my driving lesson, yay my car didnt stall/ die and pickups were pretty smooth and no jambreaks, and im on my second lesson!
Instructor was pretty pleased and so was I :D made a million turns at a million junctions and since its pretty near my house, i got picked up and got dropped off at my place before and after lesson:) saves me the journey to the very crowded driving centre;D i like my instructor because he repeats things so many times patiently and he answers my questions to the point and quickly, very very useful and helpful:) am really lucky to get such a good instructor and only after i booked lessons did i realise he is the famous instructor who has a database of ______ students and most pass on the first time! but oh well, i think passing practical driving needs lot of experience, practice and luck! i wont be pressured to learn too fast, or to pass too quickly because driving is so very important as it may endanger your own, and pedestrians or other people's lives!
i feel quite tired after a week of work especially since yesterday not only did i break my record of call-answering, i got called for 2 hours of adhoc admin, filing for the new batch, and had to sit through an hour of sharing! though so, i think i should make an effort to join my colleagues down at srggardens, missed the marina outing and i dont want to be seen as not caring about team-bonding etc, esp since we are all gonna face ADs (a million call-waitings) very soon!
going to scoot down and then im going out for dinner then perhaps a last crazy celebration before A level results out on friday! ;D

would you rather love (in the way everyone thinks they know so),
or to stay single for as long as you can remember, but to have loved at least once, genuinely and passionately, even "wrongly"?
i think i'd go with the latter.
wait, ill correct that.
im sure of that.

there are moments you finally arrive at, only to walk off and say
"i think i could have done much better than that".
but its ok, because there's always someone who understands:)

february has won january
after some awesome time out, not forgetting the crazy stress at work...
Im on CL (compulsory leave) today and friday, this is bliss.
was looking through my schedule for the past few weeks and realised i haven't been home for dinner for quite a bit, so being home today means so much to me. this is cheesy, but i really love my family - my dad, mum, sisters and being me at home:) my mum has got to be the most supportive of my lifestyle and i think i've finally grown up (hahaha) because there is absolutely nothing i want to keep from her, and i dont think ill ever want to be caught in such a situation. Thank God for overseeing everything that has happened:)
i dont know if anyone else does this, but when it comes to the end of every month, i always take a few seconds to wonder what the next month would bring, and i still wonder why i do this, since everything that happens is always unexpected anyway. i thought february would be somewhat quiet since its after chinese new year, and since everyone's back to work full-scale, thought things would die down for quite a bit. Well, i was wrong - but im real glad life surprises, else there would be zilch to look forward to.
i have a sore throat due to the late nights and hot afternoons out (not forgetting the tireless explanations to TPs), but i cant compromise my run, going to east coast now! see you all:)

Bittersweet
Some photos from CNY and my Grandparent's birthday celebration last week.
***
My Grandpa had a bad fall yesterday morning.
thank God for my cousin who found him not long after and called for the ambulance. He's now in coma and doesn't seem too strong. My sister was flipping through the report the nurse accidentally left in the ward, and only the "Encourage family members to spend more time" box was checked, amidst other slightly more positive ones.
I rushed down to TTSH after Abc's surprise celebration - (thankew vera for allowing me to pang-sei you, you're the best;).
I guess i managed to appreciate the celebration of Valentine's Day much more after that, for seeing my Grandma trying to wake unconscious Yeye out of his sleep was heartbreaking.
For that, i can safely say Valentine's is not overrated neither is it cheesy. I think its almost necessary in such a society where people are not into the culture of expressing their love outrightly to one another. You wouldnt want to regret not doing anything you can with a loved one, when its too late. After all, whats queuing for hours just to get a dinner place; whats squeezing just to walk on a platform; whats getting swept around by the millions of people, when you're with your loved one?
Thank you amazing people who sent me v'day love through snail mail, loved ones who spent v'day with me, and to everyone who's taught me to be affectionate:)
Most of all, please wake up soon Yeye, We're behind you.

Some people say you shouldnt say things before anything real materializes, for if its a real good thing, it'd be jinxed and alas, it wont turn out.
i beg to differ.
Ill count my blessings now, of a tomorrow ill continue to hope for, and gee, ill say it as loud as i can.

The last week has been pretty awesome.
Some of the things i did:
- started my job officially after 9 painful days of training - was really nervous on the first!
- met up with Ms Ng, seniors and Sec 4 juniors still in Scgs at coffeeclub after work!
- had supper with a few and caught up with quite a few things!
- met up with the girls at kenny rogers at suntec,
- followed by vj mass dance, which never disappoints!
- had semi-ocd and insisted on kenny rogers again with Pin rui at marina on saturday! PARRY! hehaha.
- watched two great movies - Doubt and Inkheart. i loved the former more though:)
- completed my last promise of traffic counting on saturday, missed out on a few things!- cycling with the girls and lunch with the army boys :(
- confirmed team make-up and signed up for adidas sundown team run with fellow Macritchie Adventurers - lesley, lorraine and shan:)
- scheduled my music lessons, yoga lessons, japanese language lessons (im only doing this for my dad :/) driving lessons, and being a primary school tutor:)
- feels good having income and earning your own keep! income from relief teaching and the camps are coming in yea:)
- catching up with pinrui and putting everything into perspective
- knowing its jean's and eric's birthday:)
- i'll never stop being disgustingly fascinated by outsiders who dont know much but are never ashamed to talk/ask so much.
- finding out friends who aren't that true during this period of holidays.
- people who destroy the fun of good stuff by setting real bad examples
