Week 2
the week has whizzed past yet again, eventful and miss-able.
On Tuesday I had such a fantastic time because i spent time with people i seldom have time to and perhaps not for a long while more- priceless. :) LIT TRIP REUNION! :) I met Phoebe at 12 plus in school after band meeting and as usual we had the time of our lives sharing. haha. phoebe is amazing, she is so angelic in everyway, gosh! anyway we waited for shu, then talked alittle to zara and wei-an , before we 3 travelled and talked to parkway to get bubble tea. heard some serious news. O_o. they also insisted i try MOS's frozen strawberry. although i promised jeremy the day before to keep my stomach empty for lunch, i couldnt help it since i was so hungry! anyway we then met mark t and jerry at the bus stop and talked for alot more before we boarded 43 to meet gwyn so that she could show us to her house. on the bus yeowboono, phoebe, me mark and desmond played bridge and seriously, it was really reliving the long bus journeys in UK! it was so fun and i think i upped a notch in my bridge skills cuz thompson was helping me alot:)
its funny how people change in different circumstances with different people. mark becomes thompson when around lit trip people because there's a mark leong as well. not just that, the mark i know becomes a thompson suddenly. haha ok ignore me if you dont get this part. anyway, thanks thompson! we rushed to gwyn's house and watched numbers on AXN for quite a while then i continued with bridge. during the whole session kelly just kept laughing at whatever i was saying it just so felt so 'meiyi-momenty" again. haha! not long after, the rest came - mark leong, nicholas, jinghan, warran, a14 girls and miss chia!
miss chia also brought her friend Aida, who gave us a really insightful briefing on BACKPACKING IN EUROPE/THE WORLD. tips like how to make yourself blend in with the culture allowing for more security as well, stuff that i really wished my sister was there to listen since she will be going backpacking in europe next week inbetween her course at St. Gallens. we had that session for roughly 2 hours, then had the pizza treat from miss chia and mr teo! while eating we relived memories by watching pictures taken by numerous people -danielle, mark leong, gywn, jeremy... after that we watched PARIS JE TAIME. OHMYGOSH. the show was fantastic seriously. displayed in the Films De Cannes Festival, its contains many short stories of love in paris : my favourite would be these:
Natalie Portman falling in love with the blind man. The film starts with Portman (an actress) making a phone call to him and gives a really long poem on lovers breaking up. Before she finishes, he assumes she wants to call it off with him and he hangs up, stunned and disillusioned. then flashes of their live together whizzes past in his head, from the time they met, and how they screamed, studied, laughed etc. by the end of it, all of us are close to tears because its so sad, but then suddenly he is brought back to reality with the phone ringing again. Portman calls again, asking him why he hung up and whether her rehearsed script was dramatic and realistic enough.
The vampires falling in love with each other, where necking suddenly comes with a new meaning... haha.
The old sweet American lady falling in love with Paris, and finally,
the gay- theme one! ok i dont usually advocate such an issue but i have to admit it was sweet:)
we ended pretty late and I announced my photo-essay thing, haha ok guys please do send your contributions to me asap!:) im stressed now, because apparently everyone is kinda looking forward to seeing the essay after im done. haha. have i mentioned? im not really creative OR artistic.. haha.
on our way out, we visited the Japanese cemetery the people who take chinese were so intrigued by because it was in their syllabus. haha. took pictures, before resuming our way to the bus stop. nearly went with phoebe to her og meeting cuz she said anyway ill be crashing her group so i might as well have gone haha but that would be ultra strange.! bussed home with dearest kelly and jerry and yeowboono and the bus ride was just so funny. kelly is always so funny and we were reminiscing about vanessa (pau) and sc and then we both suddenly agreed that both of us had a common view to life- that we value life so much more than certain-mentioned people who took studies to be nearly everyone. hmmm. really interesting!
ok pictures will come SOON:)
