Singapore

Im back in Sunny Singapore!

The trip to New York was a very fulfilling and fruitful one. Before i left, i made it a point to jot down the things i needed to get done by the time i came back to our familiar shores. Of course with prayers over them, I wasn't disappointed, and I got more.

I think people in school who have been asking me how the trip was haven't really been getting satisfactory answers. I always feel speechless upon replying and i cant seem to squeeze everything into just a few sentences.

Lets progress up the chart. Physically, my health took a downturn, and the effects are draining me pretty badly now. The weather was slightly too bone-chilling for me although i was always wearing 4 layers on top and 3 layers bottom. When the wind was blowing in our faces, no one could talk and we all just earnestly prayed in our hearts the wind would stop. For once we turned up our hotel aircons to 27 degrees and we never felt hot. My cough does not seem to be getting better (the opposite in fact) and the jetlag has been making me sleep till the next morning the moment i reach home... making my pile of homework increase exponentially...

Spiritually, everything was just so lifting during the trip. The weather couldn't get us down, because I personally enjoyed every nitty gritty event, every lunch, dinner and breakfast. Firstly i was nearly eating with all the different groups of people for every meal due to our large numbers and diversity:) Bonding with juniors and fellow batch mates was remarkable and I learnt alot about many people. Every photo taken was truly representative of how we were feeling and thats what i really love. I also realised that if i didnt feel like taking a photo i wouldnt even be in it (like ill run away or something) so you can trust me on that.:) I said i got more because of the Christian fellowships we had at night:) We prayed and sung about everything and Easter celebrations made it even more purposeful and rejuvenating. Claiming glory in Carnegie Hall was so much more of glory for Him then anything else:)

New York is also a very beautiful place, cosmopolitan and diverse in many aspects. Fast pace like in Singapore but different in many ways. My favourite events in New York was the Hudson River Cruise, Tour to Ellis Island, and performing in Central Park! Ill let the limited photos do the rest of the talking!

Post Carnegie Performance and Day Tour

Sightseeing and food:)

I didnt really organise the photos, sorry! There are also alot of photos missing like those with the Statue of Liberty. Ill add in next time:)

Even though the trip was short and not really sufficient to visit every iconic part of The Big Apple, it was sufficient to get want I hoped for. It was a good treat returning learning about CT results too. Even though it wasnt fantastic but our whole class made such vast improvement and our potential's finally starting to show:) Things are going to be as busy with the numerous concerts coming up, catching up with work and gearing up for Majestia XXIV(!!)

Had a good day yesterday catching up with class girls at our dear Parkway and then Ichiban Moshi for dinner with section girls (finally beatrice is back to join us, we've missed you!) Sushi has never tasted that good then it was just drifting along Citilink with McFlurry icecream. Life's good :)

Cheers to more good days to come, :)
