Masks

Hello all:) how are ALL of you?:)
anyway, despite the truckloads of work I have, Math Econs Lit Hist and GP, I shall still spend loads of time blogging because I feel happy happy happy today.:)

Firstly, I just visited Vera's blog and oh my gosh I love you!!:)))

vera says: "i kopped some pictures from my dear Meiyi, whom by the way is the most insane girl i've ever met.she wins everyone hands down.her laughter is soo infectious and she claims i roar at her.LOLwhen she giggles, i'll laugh and then she'll laugh, so we're practically having a laughing marathon every single day.now everyone knows that once one of us starts laughing, the other will follow suit in exactly 2 seconds.loli love Meiyi:)she makes my day.RAWR!"

oh my, I wish to say that, VJ 07A13's Veralyne is one of the wackiest girls ever too! Its been a long time since I've met someone like you! I can do almost ANYTHING to her, and everything's just sooo funny. seriously, even as I was reading her posts, I was laughing SO MUCH!:)) *HUGS vera!:) the last time I met such a crazy person was 3 years ago, my senior Deborah!:)

anyway, vera's blog also reminded me of something really cool I wanted to blog on long ago, but I forgot.:)
there was this day my class wanted to pon econs lecture (which of course, being us, didnt in the end:)) we have named the treehouses Lt6/7/8 so when people ask, "where is 07A13?", the reply goes something like "they're at LT7." our class people were playing bridge and taiti in the treehouse, and we were shouting at the top of our lungs to greet the principal and VP Mr Chan and Mr Fong respectively, heh. :)) haha the next few points are seriously a product of vera's excellente memory - jason is seriously a monkey, (yes!) he jumped up from the bottom and climbed into the house. now for WEDNESDAY's events. andre wore a SCGS uniform and omg he looked so DISTURBED.its freaky but suuuuper hilarious. everyone from the neighbouring classes were walking past to sneak a peek at our new student, ANDREA. we took loads of pictures and he is psychotic lah. Mr Khoo was saying we should show our friends how taxing JC life is, by showing a picture of the Meiyi and then Andre's.to show how stress can change one's body and FACE. 07A13 rocks!!!

haha thanks vera! anyway, you people (annabelle, vera and hwee) are SO LUCKY! DSA people! I really really hope I can stay here man, its going to suck especially if im the only one who moves away from our very excellent class. hmmph. Its either DSA people like the abovementioned or the brainies like jason jinghan and basically ALL THE GUYS who are SO CONFIRMED gonna get 6 points (and who apparently and seriously slack so muchh) and stay here:) aah! I need to stay stay stay!:) then I can go for the Lit (UK and Paris) trip and the History (vietnam/ south korea) trip too!!:)))
this morning was great, because I managed to rush out my econs hmk in 10 min before assembly with vera, hwee's and syazana's divine help:) thanks babes:) I've been doing maths till super late the past few nights. I love partial fractions and binomial.:)) Jason and Jing Han also took a very sneaky video of me and Vera before we entered the hall. We were laughing at each other (again) and suddenly we started smacking each other! haha, I guess they were really amused.
However, I had a really really bad stomachache this afternoon! Its the wind-indigestion kind that would not ease even if you went to toilet. During break I seriously felt like puking and running away from everyone. haha. but guess what, just at this juncture, I received this message from Daphne : "I know not what difficulties or trials or temptations may be before me this day. Prepare me whether for duty or for conflict. Knowing the fleshy nature of the human heart, I desire this morning and each morning to receive fresh supplies of Your grace..Spirit of the living God, please fill me and use me today. Thank You Lord Jesus for loving me..always:))"
Praise the Lord for using dear Daph to remind me of Your love and care:) I said the prayer silently and prayed for some direction as to what I should have done. Our Lord is indeed great and mighty, He heard my cries and like what he did on the first day of Orientation, alleviating my fever, he relieved the uncomfort from me and I was able to sustain throughout to the end. I was even able to take PE lesson and run, not feeling ill or anything.:) Thank you Lord! Nothing is too great or too small for Him to handle, even such minute things like stomachaches etc, He hears your cries, and will never leave you nor forsake you.:)

After school, Mark, Lucas jason vera annabelle and I went to watch Jing Han during his dance practice. haha, he dances well man. Halfway, annabelle left for hockey training, lucas left and jason went to do his routine runs to east coast. Well, if it wasnt for the weather, vera and I almost followed him to ECP to cycle. heh.:) next time maybe. :)mark left at about 4 plus, but vera and I stayed back to watch Jing han and have some girl talk:) jason returned from his run all flushed and not long after he left, vera jing han (who had finally finished) and I went home together. met daniel and faizah at the bus stop. Faizah alighted at the same stop as me, and while I was waiting with her for her next bus to change to, we chatted and caught up quite alot and discussed JTS for our og. hmm, get well yea girl?:) no more fried chicken wings ok!:)

anyway, I will be praying for a couple of people, and may God give me the strength to handle tomorrow with tact and wisdom. First clash between Band prac and Council meeting. :[

afterlaughs*

hello,

i was thinking, ill try something new.
well, school's SUPER boring. There are NO people to scare you round the corner,

class is just work, and more work all the time, no time for guessing who's behind those dance masks, no time to steal a ferrero rocher or two,

projects are horrible because we are just cooped up in those 4 walls,
there's no vera to ROAR at me (!!) and there are no nice spots to strike a pose.:)

heh.:)
anyway, I got through the first round (interview) for council. Its really the rest of it that I'm dreading though. :[
"Praise the Lord for all the good things he has done," and it never ends. really.

"Look me in the eyes, girl."

Hello:))

what can I say? hha today was great again. :)

Literature was highly stimulating, and Maths Binomial Theorem was fun! Haha, im still not succumbing to pon Andre! Anyway after school a few of us went to Parkway to eat lunch, then I headed back to school to meet Mr. Khoo for the CT talk. It was quite pleasant actually! and guess what, he asked if I wanted to be some sort of 'face' for some VJ banner. Haha. Well, he claims im photogenic, but oh my gosh, if IM photogenic right, then what will Li shaan/Becky/ Camille be la! OUT OF THIS WORLD! haha:)

anyway, today was super fun because I wore the VJ uniform!! Many pleasant reactions and comments! Haha, lets see, a million people said I looked better in it than in SC uniform - "Cleaner, whiter, more matured, blah..." HAHA. The VJ uniform is actually really really comfortable, ahh Faizah, can I just like rent it from you for like, forever?! haha...

Well, tomorrow's going to be a SUPER HECTIC day. Band prac from 7 plus to 12, back to home, then go down to SMU for the history project interview with, annabelle, andre, lucas and Jun jin, then we will head to Swensens for JTS with our senior class. (Junior- treat- senior).

Till then, taa:))

:|

Hello...
today school was weird. hmmm.
anyway, we had a food eating competition! Kudos to Jing han and Edo for having the guts to take part! oh man! I felt so disturbed watching all the guys stuff their faces with food, eeekks! After that I myself felt so ill!
On another note, I never actually believed that people really did classify others' character according to the school they came from. Quite a few people have been telling me how different I am from other SC girls, and how amazing they think it is. hmm! I dont think thats true though. Believe it or not, IM A TRUE BLUE SC GIRL ok!:) Currently, I suddenly miss SCGS. I have realised that I've never actually really missed it yet, till like, now. I miss walking through the Peranakan Gardens in the morning, I miss sitting at the spiral stairs with fellow prefects:), I miss 4 GY, I miss enjoying PE lessons, I miss Mr Jo's Bio lessons, I miss science pracs, screwing up experiments, I miss mee pok, I miss all you wonderful people. I miss being in a single-sex school. haha. I miss SCBand. It's amazing looking back though. Well, it's definitely great starting a new life though, a great one furthermore. It just feels a little strange.

WELL, tomorrow WILL be a great day.:)
im going to wear the vj uniform tomorrow. will post pics!:) Im also going to meet Mr Khoo for the one-to-one talk tmr, haha jason and daniel are CONVINCED that I have many psychological issues to share with him, that I'll just take a few hours. HAHA. no way, it will be short man. then we can go makan after im done. lol.:))

"I pray, let me not be a student to happens to be a Christian, but a Christian who happens to be a student. Use me mightily O Lord, Amen."

Nuggets of Happiness

hello!:)
TODAY WAS ANOTHER GREAT DAY!:)
had another 1 hour 45 min break where the higher chinese people could slack up the treehouse (LT 6) ahha! anyway, tomorrow is my council interview! -_- Im seriously hoping I wont say anything I will regret after that.

anyway, today I was quite freaked out. Because I have just realised that nearly EVERYONE knows what my favourite food is, where my favourite toilet is, what my predicted response to something would be, and where my favourite hang-outs are. OK, AM I THAT LOUD? ooohh. haha.

anyway, thanks chara and melvin for updating me on the hotest things going on in ACJC... haha I miss all of you!:) anyway, to you friend, not bad ah.. pretty fast eh!:)) hee. ok, I shall stop being so cheeky.. FOR NOW!:)

well, today someone just randomly asked me why I am always so happy. Well, I couldn't really answer you at that point of time, but I guess sometimes pyscho-ing yourself to be happy, telling yourself that you are indeed happy, really makes you happy!! haha:)) Here's just some encouragement for you guys out there,

Author: Stephen Covey
Discover the 90/10 Principle.
It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations).
What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.
What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.
We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.
We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.
How? ……….By your reaction.
You cannot control a red light. but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.
Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.
The result?
Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.
It CAN change your life!!!
Enjoy….

short, sweet and sharp

hello!
this morning when i reached school, it was amazing to see some of Rameses's ogls still in school! Joel apparently only slept for 1 hour plus, and ChangYi (??) and Zhuangyong looked super stone!:) ahha, anyways, thanks changyi for the bag of marshmallows!:))

Band prac was just greeatt today..super productive.:) ive just realised that I suddenly like playing mallets. its probably the band mates that you have that influence you quite a lot. for example, in general, guys dont really like playing mallets, but here, Sidney, tim and matthew love them! haha so it kind of rubs off onto us:) anyway, im growing to love the bells part for Spartacus. yay:) and my mortal, gave me this whole treasure chest of chocolate coins! aah! all of my angels and mortals totally pamper me..hmmmph!

ok shall talk another time, taa!:)

Bold and Beautiful

Hello again!:))
VJC really rocks man. All the people are so enthu and happy and fun!:) especially 07A13!:) yay!
this is a email from my CT. (form teacher)

Hey people! This is the email i promised to send you earlier...both to sort out more admin matters and to test that I have everyone's email correct ... More importantly - this mass email list is also everyone's chance to begin to say HI to our "unseen" classmate - the illustrious Deborah Ong. (National Sailor training for Olympics 2008) So here's the first big hey going out to you, Deborah, from me as your class form teacher. My name is Mr David Khoo, and I have the pleasure of introducing you to your wonderful class of 07A13. They've all been having a great time getting to know each other, and I couldn't wish for a better class for you to come home to when you begin your VJC career. We have been collecting notes and worksheets for you, so don't worry about that. I'll sign off here, so it's over to you, Deborah, to write back and tell us a little about yourself and what you've been doing these last few weeks =) Likewise I hope everyone else will chime in with their greetings and self-intros for Deborah. My aim is to get a nice email conversation going so that when Deborah steps off the plane into VJC, she will already feel like she's met all of you. Think of it as writing to one more "angel" or "mortal" you can get to know =) Have a good weekend, and see you all on Monday!

Mr Khoo

Isn't that pretty cool?! All I can say is that i've been blessed so much, with wonderful classmates, og mates, seniors, juniors and even teachers. :)

Anyway, today after school, I went back to SCGS with Annthea, Camille and Eunice to watch Prefects' Investiture. It was really strange sitting in the audience watching the show, without being actually being in it like i was for the last three years! It was a great show, and I screamed my lungs out again and especially for the SC cheer. haha, oh no, my voice! Then after that, 3 of us cabbed back to VJ. Cam and Annthea met their OGs there while I went on to East Coast Park Pit 46 to meet Raven!! Well, it was definitely an eventful time! Min Li got "stoned" on her leg, resulting in a big bruise, while I got grazed pretty badly. ahha, oh well. Min Li, Joel and I went star gazing and JAE reflecting, and we met Orion in the skies! cool! We left at about 10 plus and Thanks Joel for giving me a lift back!:)

OH my gosh, this morning I had to play the crash for national and college anthem! So pai seh! I was seriously sight-reading for the college anthem and for the national anthem, it was based on instinct. seriously, there was NOTHING to refer to. ahha. Thank goodness it turned out ok.
Tomorrow there is Band prac, and later at 4 ill be going down to Millenia Walk to support Jing Han and his fellow mates dance! :) Do join me if you guys can!:)

At investiture, the speech made by the Mrs Low Ay Nar (current Principal) was really interesting.Miss Heng's favourite phrase previously was wanting us to be "kim geks". However, now Mrs Low's one would be urging us to be "Bold and Beautiful". I thought that was cool, because its important to be bold, to step out of our comfort zones, and stand up for is was right all the time, while being beauiful at the same time, maintaining our dignity and integrity, staying elegant and having poise. ahh:)

On the another matter, our class got our very first GP test back 2 days ago. Yay, my class did pretty well (according to my teacher!)yayness:) School's still pretty great, except that there is an increasing temptation to pon lectures (which I shall not succumb to, Andre!). Today half of my class went to LT6 a.k.a Treehouse, while Jing Han and I and a few more trotted obediently to LT 2 for maths.hmmph:)

ok, shall go take my beauty sleep now. taa...:)

Tuesday, 16 January 2007

Happy birthday Joel!

heh today was ogl Joel's birthday! I cant believe I forgot till about 1 plus...during history lecture! haha so I messaged him, then went on to gather "forces" aka Faizah and the rest of Raven og to meet up after school to give him a "surprise"! So I met up with Faizah after 3rd period PE then went to the igloo to look for timothy and both Darrens. I just realised how blur I am, i never knew there was a pool table and table soccer in the igloo! oh man... haha anyway, Joel got a new pair of Zildjian drumsticks from a friend as a present!cool! our og was backed up by the rest of ogls from Rameses, and together all of us went to dunk him in the fountain...EIGHT times! haha! yay:)

I shall go off now, have bible study tonight, yup taa!:)

Carrot cake.

hello! have I mentioned how nice VJ's carrot cake is?
its yummmm-delicious!
haha well, quite amazingly, my WHOLE class and my GP teacher knows that im some carrot cake fan. hmmm. I guess its nice because its freshly fried everytime you order, plus the lady's very nice, plus its $1.30 for a super bigg portion.

anyway, my angel replied to me once again. Its amazing how he/she keeps giving me so much food, big bags of chocolates and today marshmallows. not only does it further brighten my day, it sustains me and peers during lectures (econs). Thanks angel!:))

Here's the tip to millions of people out there who fall asleep during lectures, especially during the 2pm to 4pm period. JUST STOCK UP FOOD. really. so far, chocolates are the most effective. because it makes you thirsty, then you drink water. and water makes your brain fluffy, hence keeping you awake. chocolate also makes you happy, so it helps you persevere, and find more meaning in learning econs. haha. I like econs ok. Anyway, council's signing up is now open. Camille is nominating me and im nominating Xinhui. haha. the process is rather painful though, we have to photocopy prelim results, cca records, testimonial and write an essay on ourselves. hmmm. Afterwhich, we have to go for an interview, then campaign. woah. I can forsee how difficult it's going to be should I get in, because then I might have to make a decision btw band or council. I've got an amazing part for Band for SYF, an amazing vj percussion section, and the Gold with Honours dream just keeps you moving man. But at the same time council sounds great too. oh yea, and these 2 are probably the only ccas besides choir which is not adviceable for people to take up more than 1, as all are rather heavy on its own.

Something tells me to sacrifice. But, which to sacrifice?
