a meaningful week

i stole collages from anthea's and abc's blog respectively. pictures from our outing 2 weeks ago, which i didnt have time to blog about :))

on wednesday we had sectionals, warm ups lasted throughout, even though most of the time we girls were being trashed upside down by our dear section leader matthew, it didnt seem that meaningful during the thing itself, but after that it actually was. he said that even when playing simple semiquavers, we shouldnt look to the end of the phrase bar by bar (4 sets of semiquavers) a.k.a. playing horizontally, but we should be impartial to each and every single stroke and play vertically. in addition, words of wisdom from chiawen's blog: Busy-ness or amusement isn't the goal in life. It is doing what counts, one activity at a time.

i guess sometimes we are so caught up by whats at the end we live everyday not valuing it, its really not worth it and thats why "time passes so fast" because at the end of everything, we wonder what happened to all the time passed in the middle of the whole journey we took.

anyway, today was the stan chart marathon! im so grateful for His sustenance throughout because i had stitches (yes, unfortunately i did have) and quite bad ones actually which started quite early into the race. in addition, insufficient training + the heavy leg syndrome was down upon me today. extremely unlucky but i guess thats what made the whole race my own. jean and i were tested mentally and we were really thankful we made it:) we sprinted the last 100m to the FINISH line and then we smiled:))) i saw a couple of veejay photographers, not mark though, odacers!- jac and d, and phy who was the road marshall. i also saw sarah and lydia soo while running! oh yes and we met stef yee and valerie. hehe the adidas photographer also took a photo of me and jean so ill upload it here once they upload it! standard chartered is such a great experience and i'd love to join again next year, but it really depends on whether we can make it after our A levels!
christmas shopping yet again (okay today was my gazillionth day already i think) and i bought another new dress:) met aunt liz for lunch then headed for music class. saw mark leong, joel, aravind and gabriel ( i think) and a lot of random people.

im so tired now, but im so hyped up to do math. wow!
