I guess im still getting used to things, i told myself before that i should be prepared for such things to come this path i chose to take, just that i didnt know I'd be tested this hard.
Besides this, Ive been having a pretty awesome busy week!
Relief teaching at SC Primary was cute ( i refused to let them address me by my surname but just teacher all the way haha) , rushing back to VJ after that was heart-warming - met my orientation mate on the bus, he was going back to school because he is only IP3 now (oh my gosh so young!) and we were laughing about how strange we were in the same og but he's still stuck in first year of jc hmmph, wonder who's luckier! hung around with jessie and sidney who were visiting too and i still ate my favourite spicy chicken wings heh yay:) met jastine in the canteen too cuz of softball training. yes im excited for Outdoor Rumble soon!
Traffic counting the next few days and saturday was tiring but a good experience, i mean if Singapore's industries have an increased productivity due to the improved traffic matched by improved timings in the traffic lights on the road, its thanks to me and my colleagues ok!!:) Stayed over at jill's for the first night because we had to figure the way out the next day. We ended up roaming the streets near SGH at 5.30AM waiting for 6 am to come so we could take cab and miss the extra charges. loitered outside the Houseman Canteen because we were hungry and wanted to look for food! we only ran away after we were trying to take pictures and suddenly this kitchen-man came out from no where!
In between the morning and afternoon shifts, the breaks were soo fun because we hung out at jurong birdpark (where i met some of the vj pe teachers on a school day which is strange)- it was rather empty so we sat the whole day playing Monopoly! yes the game ended with me owing Koon $65000 (!!) we also visited mel's and koon's house - watching P.S i love you and played taboo:)
dinner with them at plus all the games on the train was just so entertaining and jill and i could hardly stop laughing at the guys who kept losing every game we taught them heh:) so yea, we keep saying how we should have toned abs by now:)
Seriously, although my colleagues are ALL from ACSi and im the only vj/ eastie person, i think its amazing how we all got along pretty well, yay im so happy with my new friends:)
Then it was steamboat with the girls at Bugis and catching up:) i miss you all so!
Though this week has left me really shagged and sapped, since things have been moving quite fast, im glad i still keep in touch with my camp colleagues from my camp facil job and one thing is that i am really grateful for is the company of ALL my colleagues from both my jobs so far ! im glad we could rub it off and that i actually think we can become better friends, even though im changing to a perm job next week! interesting note: there are like Pinrui and Kahsiong surrogates: there's one of pinrui's best friend who is my ex-colleague plus my current colleague who looks and talks like KS. gosh!
Oh yes, calls at night from the army boys (yes they were faithful in their promises albeit their gruelling first 2 weeks:) have been really heartwarming, and really every night im praying they are all fine and that they control their temper and not be rude back to the very rude and vulgar sergeants (tsk tsk). Please dont forget things again and dont take too long to take your temperature if you are having a fever! haha:/
OH yes, Anthea is back from US :)) welcome back antsies i missed you!
Yes this coming week is going to be a challenge, im starting work at IRAS on tuesday, and i think its going to a perm job till uni starts yup:)
