The 'Kite' pulled back on track

Hello all of you!

Firstly, I would like to thank God for all you wonderful friends, who are willing to read my "rants" and giving me advice. Without all of you, this blog would be no use at all and a waste of time.

Secondly, I would like to thank Him for bringing me to Uth Camp from the 4th to the 8th. Indeed, it was a life-changing experience and I am awed by God's concern for me even though I have strayed so far away, and hardly seeming like a child of God at certain junctures (actually most of the time).

Thank you Chia Wen, Jean, Li Shaan, Daphne, Carsmon, Amos, Marcus, Melvin, Jeremy, Lynn Shan, Audrey, Beverly, Jolene, Amelia, Amanda, Chang Shuo, Cherie, Hui Shan, Christina, Cheryl, Karlos, Cassandra, Theresa, Jill, Derek, Rogan, Samantha, Stephanie, James, Ian, Pastor Mike and so many more I have shared a smile or a word or two with! You guys are really greaat!

Never before this camp did I realise that indeed did I need salvation from Christ and that a whole lot of changes had to be executed in my life to even be just a satisfactory child of God. I am on fire for Jesus now, and with his Grace this fire will never flicker nor be extinguished. Praise the Lord for his Grace IS sufficient.

Indeed it is true that Jesus' followers will need to endure a period of persecution for standing up fo Him. Currently, I am facing parental disapproval on the topic of converting church to GLCC. I know my mother loves me too dearly to allow me to embark on this new journey, and i understand her worry. But somehow I have a certain confidence that God will open a door for me soon enough. I initially wanted to join Chia wen and the rest at the service tomorrow, and next friday, and next Sunday, and so on, however it doesn't seem to possible at this stage. Oh no! Please pray for me! Like what Marcus said, being obedient to your parents is also a very important thing to do, and I don't intend to go against my dear mummy, so yea, ill see how it goes, like i said to many people, if you do see me at tmr's service, its indeed God's work. =D

It seems quite trying now, because even if I manage to get past my mom, when my Dad gets back from the US i have to pluck up courage and garner strength to get past him, an even greater barrier!

Going to make a reply call to Chia wen now, all the best and may the Lord bless you guys in whatever you do.

Love,
Meiyi
